David Englehart qualified as a Solicitor in 1966 . Over the ensuing years David has developed considerable expertise in the area of Commercial Property Law and Practice and consequently David provides a trusted and first class service to many valued Clients. The importance of property generally to the economy of the UK has always engaged him, especially the way that property is used as collateral security for business transactions, enabling many small businesses to start up in a way which they would not otherwise have been able to afford to do.

David understands that commercial property is a central part of the firm’s clients’ business, investment and personal lives. He recognises that clients operate in a highly competitive business environment which is a minefield of ever changing policy and legislation. David’s ethos is that he believes that commercial property growth in the UK is critical for clients’ businesses to grow, for the overall growth of the economy and to the UK as a whole.

David acts for a number of property investment clients and is aware of the importance to these clients of their tenants. He has considerable expertise in Landlord and Tenant Law and Practice. He also acts for numerous tenants of commercial property.

David recognises that it is important for his clients to be able to depend on their legal partners hence his firm’s slogan; ‘Your Legal partners for Life’.

He is fascinated with the diversity that we have in this country, and in particular the close-knit family values prevalent in those businesses formed by people coming to the UK and establishing themselves through hard work.

David devotes his spare time to being with his wife, Angela, who also manages the firm. At weekends he enjoys reading and spending time with his beloved dog, Stanley.

We managed to sell our flat and buy a new house with the help of Catherine. Being in the stamp duty holiday storm and being in the middle of a chain and selling our flat through the council would have make it more difficult if not for Catherine’s proactivity, professionalism and patience. I feel like it’s been a long time since I’ve seen another profession exceed my expectation, but I’ve been blown away. I really recommend them, as I know I’ll be coming back for my next move.

If I’m ever in need of a solicitor in the UK again, I shall use Engleharts!

Value for money: Very Good – 5

Costing was clear at the outset.

I’m very pleased with the service, it has been prompt, well informed and un-invasive.

I always felt well informed during the process!

As an international Client I was never able to visit the office and reception area. However the greeting I received via email was good!

The service we received was excellent. Engleharts were superb from start to finish and I would like to thank them on behalf of my parents and myself for how well the whole process was handled in a very friendly and professional manner.

I would recommend Engleharts to anyone looking to purchase property in the Sussex area. They went above and beyond helping me in what turned out to be a complicated case. They never lost patience with me when explaining the process and were always available to speak to me. I can’t thank them enough for their help and expertise and have only gratitude for the way they helped guide me through the whole process. Amazing service.

I would like to thank you for your professional approach at each stage of this process. The whole event took me by surprise and I am thankful to you and your firm for the way you handled this . I think that is the end of the matter so, again, thank you

Dear David

We can’t thank you enough for your professional patience and forbearance in dealing with our ‘tricky’ sale. The lease extension, building work and Natwest arrangements were made much less challenging by your ability in encouraging people to ‘get on with it’.

You have been such a gentleman throughout!

Thank you so much again

Richard Woodley handled the recent sale of a property for me. He was outstanding – knowledgeable, extremely responsive, friendly and helpful. Could not fault him.

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for your gentle and sensitive handling of my recent business.  Your care and patience made a demanding exercise…into a pleasant experience.  Very many thanks!

You have been brilliant Adam, thank you for all the advice, for your kindness and understanding and for your rational approach in even the worst moments – talking to you always made me feel better! You have been the perfect support through this process that has transformed my life for the better.

Fantastic service, I highly recommend them. Both Josie and Annie stuck with me throughout a very lengthy, stressful sale and helped complete quickly when the time finally came.

I have been a client of Engleharts for the past 20 years, and Redmond and Tracy have been carrying out my conveyancing transactions for all this time. They are always very efficient and will make each transaction run smoothly from start to finish.

A big thank you for all the year’s hard work, and I look forward to continuing with our working relationship.

Many thanks indeed for being so efficient and finalising everything so speedily. You have at all times been excellent. I am genuinely relieved and pleased, that this transaction is completed, as it’s not been the easiest of times! Thank you once again for all your kindness and courtesy. It would be a pleasure to do further business with you in the future.
